AMM President, Dr. Tan receives 2008 Paul S. Bachman Award from PAAC

The Aloha Medical Mission (AMM) has been chosen by the Pacific and Asian Affairs Council (PAAC) to receive the 2008 Paul S. Bachman Award.   

Since 1957, this award has been presented to noted individuals and organizations which focus on improving the livelihood and health of the impoverished communities throughout Asia and the Pacific.  AMM is being recognized for its many years of humanitarian service, including the recent collaboration with the U.S. hospital ship, USNS MERCY, as it carried out medical missions to the different countries in the Pacific. AMM President, Dr. Antonio K. Tan, will be accepting the award at the PAAC annual dinner on Jan. 24.
