History -- Aloha Medical Mission (AMM) was founded in 1983 by members of the Philippine Medical Association of Hawaii to provide free and voluntary medical, surgical, and other health-related services, supplies, and equipment to medically indigent areas of the Philippines, South-East Asia, and the Pacific.

Every year, AMM sends medical missions to countries working with local organizations. Our goal is to address the needs of people whose health is challenged by poverty and access to proper medical care - bringing hope and changing the lives of the people we serve. | | | Our Volunteers -- The strength of AMM is our licensed medical nurses, physicians, and non-medical professional volunteers. They devote their time and skills as well as pay for the cost of participating in the medical missions. Through our volunteers' humanitarian work, the social impact on the lives of our patients is immeasurable. | | | Our Work -- AMM volunteer physicians have also provided surgical techniques and training to physicians overseas and exchange fellowships for visiting physicians in Honolulu. AMM also runs a free medical clinic in Bangladesh. |
