The second Kōkua me ka Laulima: Help with Many Hands patient was operated on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Castle Medical Center in Kailua.
The first patient was treated at The Queen's Medical Center in early October.
This program brings together private surgeons, anesthesiologists, Castle and Queen's medical centers and two community health clinics (Kalihi-Pālama and Kōkua Kalihi Valley) who are cooperating to treat the uninsured patient who falls below the federal poverty level.
